Information about SOAIC 2007
(OCT 2007, Located with ICEBE 2007,The Hongkong University)

With the availability of open standards, to overcome cross-platform barriers, and facilities to support service construction, SOA and Web services are being adopted by industries to make business services perform more efficiently and effectively. They contribute to the shaping of the processes of business modelling, solution creation, service delivery, and software architecture design, development and deployment. However, the applications and methods of SOA have not been fully exploited.

SOAIC2007 is an international forum for researchers and practitioners from different areas of computer science and information systems to exchange information and their experiences on the enabling technologies and best practices for Service Oriented Computing, and to identify the emerging research topics. SOAIC 2007 aims to bridge the gap between business and information technology using service-oriented paradigms and approaches.

SOAIC2007 was held together with The International Conference on
e-Business Engineering (ICEBE2007) on Oct 24-26, 2007, in Hong Kong. It is
to continue on from the success of SOAIC2005/2006. SOAIC2007 has 4 regular
papers and 3 short papers. We would give our special thanks to the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, the HongKong University, SOAIC committees, and all the SOAIC authors. They contributed and make SOAIC 2007 a great success.
The major topics discussed at the Symposium are Service-Oriented
Applications, Service-Oriented Collaboration/Integration, Service-Oriented
Software Engineering Platform, Service-Oriented Process Modeling,
Intelligent/Semantic Web Services, and QoS, Security, Trust of SOA/Web
Services.
